What n8n Is and Why Your Small Business Should Care
Your business is drowning in busywork.
That's not a question — it's what I see every single day. You've got five different tools talking to zero other tools. You're copying data by hand from one place to another. You're manually texting 500 nail salon clients every week because your booking system doesn't talk to your texting app. And while you're doing that, your competitors are sleeping.

Zapier is great. I've used it. But here's where they're different:
Zapier charges per workflow. If you want five automations running, you're paying for five. If you want 50, well... do the math. It's cloud-only, it's simple, and it's convenient. But convenience has a price.
n8n is per-task. You can have unlimited workflows on the free plan. The interface is a bit less polished — it looks more like you're building something than pushing buttons. But if you're a small business with big ambitions, that extra power and flexibility matters.
Here's the concrete difference: A nail salon with 500 weekly clients wants to text appointment reminders. In Zapier, you'd hit the price ceiling fast. In n8n, you could text all 500 every week and pay zero dollars. You'd self-host it or put it on a cheap server, and you're done.
Nelson at Cardinal Frames had 15 different workflows running. On Zapier's pricing, that would've been expensive. On n8n? Priceless.
WHAT CAN N8N ACTUALLY DO FOR YOU?
Stop and think about your week. What tasks do you repeat? What data are you copying and pasting? That's where n8n lives.
